Description
Proba-V captured the eye catching image of the southern part of France with the snow-capped Pyrenees Mountains. In the upper part of the image a persistent cloud field in the Garonne Valley is visible. The image resolution is 300 metres.
This image was acquired on 1 January 2015 by Proba-V, a miniaturised ESA satellite tasked with a full-scale mission: to map land cover and vegetation growth across the entire planet every two days.
